The City of Amarillo Council convenes twice each week to conduct public forums and discuss city planning. The Council Chambers facility, located within the City Hall complex, now provides public viewing of these meetings via the city web site and over local cable television. AMS was selected to update the AV systems and provide HD video from multiple PTZ cameras and a production switcher. The audio requirements called for sixteen microphones that were free of grounding issues that had been a problem with the old system. The live sound within the Chamber was also updated with new compact speakers, automatic microphone mixers and better amplification. For work sessions, the Council uses new wireless desktop mics with convenient recharging stations.
